East Rochester Union Free School District Senior Andrea Parrone has not only shined in the classroom this year, but also on the stage and in her school community- earning her the prestigious honor of Monroe County Board of Cooperative Educational Services’ Outstanding Senior for the East Rochester Class of 2022.

Andrea has made the most of her educational experience at East Rochester High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society, maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout high school. Andrea has done it all- from playing Varsity Tennis and Soccer to mentoring freshmen as an ER Crew Leader and serving as the President of her senior class. She is a talented vocalist who has received the New York State School Music Association Award for singing. Andrea will attend Queens University in Charlotte North Carolina in the fall to study Music Therapy.

“When I found out, I was overjoyed,” says Andrea. “Talking to Mr. Haugh, knowing that I was picked out of all my peers by my teachers is a real honor. I am thankful for all the opportunities I have been given here at East Rochester, this one especially, which attests to all my hard work.”

Andrea and her parents, Natasha and Matt Parrone, accompanied Superintendent Haugh to the 27th Annual Dr. Michael C. O’Laughlin Outstanding Senior Recognition Dinner on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 to be recognized. Congratulations Andrea!
