The Essential Role of the MLA School Counselor

Middle School is an exciting, yet challenging time for students, parents, and staff. Students explore many interests, and connect their learning to life. Students are often faced with many challenges such as identity, peer pressure, social relationships, skill development, and much more. The MLA School Counselor works in collaboration to help address the specific needs of students through teamwork, individual plans, programming, services, and referrals.
